I was wondering if anybody has any experience with BOA and VA loans, I talked to a loan officer today and we are in the pre-qualify stage, I was wanting to know before we advanced to the pre-approval.
We just closed on a VA loan trhough BOA last week in SC. The builder agreed to pay $3500 in closing, closing was less than $2200 so we ended up with over $1300 back at the closing table. BOA also gave us some other credit that reduced our closing costs by $1080. The loan status check online is real time (within 5 minutes) so you can see what steps have been completed and what has not. We had a good experience. It was still a little nerve racking as to be expected but I couldn't have asked for a better loan officer.
