Been out of work for a year

I have been laid off and out of work on unemployment for a year but I went back and got my A.A. degree. I was just wondering if it will affect me getting a home for the 2010 year? I am settling back into a job. My fico score is 755

Re: Been out of work for a year

How long were you in school for your A.A. degree, and how long would you be back on the job?  Lenders are looking to verify a 2-year employment history... those who don't have 2-years of employment can still be OK, especially if the situation was due to them being in school/obtained a degree and then got a job relating to that degree, and also for people who before the employment gap can document a 2-year work history and they've been back on the job for 6 months.
