Best bank for VA mortgage loan (First Time Buyer)

Hello all, I was recently pre-approved for a 400k VA loan through USAA. Their rates as of today was 3.75%. I've heard of NFCU having lower rates but you have to buy points in order to lower your interest rate. Does anyone know of anywhere else that would be able to beat that? Thank you!

There are several VA Loan specialist that visit this board daily. If you read a few of the recent topic you’ll see who they are and maybe pm one of them. I just started working with one of them this week.

That's extremely competitive. What you would look for in a lender is someone who is responsive, professional, and able to close your loan on time. Not just someone who has the best rate.

What state are you in & what is your mid score?

I currently live in Maryland but will be purchasing a home in California. Mid score is high 700s, low 800s.

DH and I are in underwriting for a VA loan with NFCU. Our rate is locked at 3.625 without buying any points (we couldn't afford to add anything to closing costs).
