Re: Bk

The exact wording on the uniform residential loan application form (1003 URLA) is:

Have you been declared bankrupt within the past 7 years? YES___ NO___

Pretty much everyone uses the URLA or a derivation of it.

Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA, USDA only require the above information.

If you're getting a lender's portfolio loan, then they may have an addendum to the URLA, but even then, I highly doubt the questions will differ from the above.

BK DC 4/9/2018
FICO 08 (4/9/2018): EQ 647 EX 609 TU 620
FICO 08 (10/16/2020): EQ 676 EX 659 TU 653

Re: Bk

Sbrooks I think your ok. Just an FYI. Reading my refi app on paragraph 8 the 7 year question is there for BK and foreclosure. It also ask if you have outstanding judgement against you on 8a. 8d are you a party to a lawsuit. 8e have you been directly or indirectly obligated to BK or FC without any dates. Not sure if the 7 yr sol prevents you in answering the question since it's a yes or no question. Thought you might want to know.

Like everybody said you did your time.

Re: Bk

I thought after 10 years it falls off of the report? How can they still see it?

As for my own app, I think it asked had I filed within a given period; I think like seven years, so I said no. No one said anything about it they simply package the file and sent it to processing.
Began my personal credit Renaissance April 2014 with scores I the 590's, thanks to all your experiences myfico - all mortgage scores in the 730's.
