CLOSED but ran into issues

Got to NVR Settlement Services offices at 12:40. I had quite a few questions about the HUD-1. There was a surprise tax of $4200 that I wasn't aware of and was never mentioned to me during this entire process. A land improvement tax or something. I was livid that NVR waited until I was sitting down at the table to inform me of this tax. After that was hashed out, signed all the docs. Apparently NVR forgot to send my lender the title binder info which held up the funds being released to them. Waiting on this took over 4 hours. During this time, NVR attempted to hold me hostage in their conference room, just in case I was needed. I got up and left and told them to call me if they need me. I came back an hour later and STILL they had no answer for me. About 20 minutes later, a rep brings out my copies of the documents and then says we can go pickup our keys from the model home. I had a very good experience with my lender, Certus Bank, NVR, Ryan Homes, NVR Mortgage, and NVR Settlement Services are the worst group of companies I have ever done business with. I will NEVER EVER buy anything or do business with them EVER again. Our closing agent had us fill out her survey when we were "done" and then she hightailed it back to the corporate offices across town. I gave the settlement process all 9's as I was under the impression we were done and just waiting on our copies. I wish she would have stuck around so I could have gave her all 0's. Dealing with NVR has been hands down the worst expierence of my life and I never want to go through it again. They made buying a home more trouble than it was worth. Only NVR could screw up closing day, when they get paid!
