Can I still get a mortgage?

My fiance recently started a new job (one week ago) in a field different from his previous job.  His FICO score is 653.  My FICO score is not as good (low 600 range); however, I have been at my job for 5 1/2 years.  Is it possible to still get approved for a mortgage with his high score and my job longevity?

Re: Can I still get a mortgage?

If both jobs were career oriented then it should be OK, i.e. like if he was a mechanic and now is a police officer.
