Centex float down?

Anyone know what the chances are? It's not an official option in our contract.   We locked at 6 at the end of last month and are wondering how we can get the lower rate?  Any ideas?

Re: Centex float down?

Thanks.  The lock expires on the same day we close. If they won't lower it, should we let the lock expire and postpone closing for a couple days?  What are the consequences for doing that?

the loan officer will re-lock. and they will use worst case pricing(will re-lock off old rate sheet they priced off of the first time).... so this isnt a strategy.
 they may not have locked.
