Chase bought my loan ???

Hey pros, Is it typical to have your loan sold as soon as you close. I call to make sure my acct.# was right and was told Chase already bought my loan. I still have not made my first payment yet.

 I got mine in mid 07 & by dec I rec'd documents that chase bought it & Jan, I started paying chase.  

I think yours seems so quick because you just bought it.  It's an end of year thing...no matter when you bought.

We closed end of Sept (I think?) with a bank called Moncor and by our first payment Nov 1st the mortgage was already sold to Wells Fargo.  Got a notice in the mail that Wells Fargo was our new bank and to mail all payments to them going forward. We didn't have to do anything - just had to pay the note.
