Closed 12/28/2012

We closed on our new home with Castlerock Homes on 12/28/2012. It was a new construction and we got a 3.375% interest rate. Castlerock paid all of our closing costs except for the down payment. So our closing costs went from about $12,000 to only $5318.77.  Even though the home loan process was a pain in the butt and my loan processor was still asking for bank statments and copies of deposited checks two days before our scheduled close date, it was very much worth it. I am enjoying my new home!!!

A note: Be sure to always read your GFE's my loan processor made a mistake when doing my final mortgate  payment calculaion and had our mortgage payment amount listed at $100 more that it was listed on the original GFE. Once I pointed this out they corrected their mistake and our mortgage payments stayed at $1392 instead of $1492.
