Did you get the keys same day as closing?
How's it going??
Realtor followed me over from closing. Closing took a whole 15 minutes. We drove straight from the closing office to the house and the realtor pulled in behind me and handed me the keys.
We're enjoying the house so far. Wife is painting a couple of rooms to her color. Yard has 64 sprinkler heads and runs for 4 hours in 7 stages. Think I might have to turn it down a bit so I don't have a $400 water bill.
Wife bought all new furniture and having it delivered this week so have folding chairs and blow up mattresses for now. Not moving any of the furniture from old house except for the piano. Going to have a big yard sale and get rid of everything and then sell the house.
Anyway that's how it's going for now. How's your move going Booner?
Scores look good. Remember to haggle the price. We got our sellers to go down $77,000. Definitely worth the trouble.
@Anonymous wrote:Congrats. My fiance and I have an appt tomorrow with the mortgage company. We both have good credit, my score is 681 and his is closer to 700. He hardly has any debt while I on the other hand have a little here and there. I need some encouragement. Do you think we have a good chance? We are so nervous as we are both purchasing out first home and we fell in love with the home we found. Its perfect and as soon as we walked in we knew it was meant for us. He makes about $36,000 per year and I make $29,000. The house is 139,000. What are your thoughts?
Once again congrats, I hope to be in your situation celebrating with keys in our hands.

That is quite a yard! I'd be pretty worried about that big of a water bill, too. We got all new furniture also, Craigslist style. Didn't give our 30 day notice until 4 days before we closed so we are still dealing w/ the old house and the old landlord and stressful new water heater issues etc etc. But it's all the best stress.
We also camped out w/ folding chairs and blow ups. It was a fun weekend! I had to wait 24 hours after closing to get the keys. Here in Oregon they loan has to fund, then get recorded, before anyone forks over any keys. Have Fun!
