It is Monday today, and I am supposed to close on Wed. at 9am... On Thursday the LO asked for another set of documents (requested by the underwriter), and said that I should hear back today (Monday)- well its 3:30pm and still no word- should I be worried? Should I be calling and emailing the LO - or is she just waiting to hear back from the underwriter?
When will I know the exact amount I have to bring to closing?? I was thinking it would be today so that I could get a chashiers check tomorrow...
BTW, This is an FHA loan w/ Wells Fargo in Chicago.

Difficult to say. What were the requested docs? That can make a difference. I could very well be that the UW is busy. I didn't know until the day before how much I needed to bring to close. It's never going to hurt to contact the LO and apologetically nudge them for some info. At least then you know what's going on. I don't think a LO is going to disqualify you for a mortgage because you ask too many questions. ![]()
Good luck.

only way to find out is to call. I emailed my LO about our loan and she replied that day that the file was approved and in the closing department(two weeks before we were supposed to close). So she may know already but just a tad busy.

Any new info? I'd call the LO for sure.
Once the docs are emailed to the closing attorney from Wells Fargo a final "funds to close" figure should be known.

Yes!! We finally heard that we are set to close- the initial figures came back wrong- but our attorney corrected all of that and we are supposed to close this morning. I will update when I come back from the closing... a nerve-racking process, but I can't wait to get those keys!
