This has been a long journey, but my new construction is almost complete. Supposed to close 1st week of March and just signed a 60 day rate lock on a 30 fixed at 4%. I just want to get this over with. I'm so nervous, I can't help but feel like something is going to pop up at the last minute to screw things up. I sure hope I close and move into my new house with no problems.
Congrats! You are almost there.
Congrats! February is a short month and will help speed this along. I wish you the best.
How long did UW take? How far out did they tell you your closing date?
Congratulations. Getting to the 30-day window of completion/closing is quite a milestone. We send out our 30-day closing letters once we have sheetrock hung. Reason is that the remains stuff that needs to be done are relatively minor and are also predictable. You will be ok ... just breathe .... in .... out .... in ....

I locked the rate today, but my LO said someone will be calling in the next few weeks for updated docs. So technically, I guess it hasn't cleared the final UW stage yet. That's why it's so nerve wrecking!

Thanks. Sheetrock was hung about 2 weeks ago. I stopped by the house this past Saturday and all the interior doors had been hung and they were painting. Can't wait to go by there this weekend, hopefully I will see some floors and/or cabinets.
Congratulations!
Congrats, but don't assume anything until after underwriting. Even though you have been approved, underwriting is the process that generates your mortgage. Hope it all works out for you!
*Update* They just ran an updated credit report and said everything looks fine. Still, anything can happen between now and the next 4-5 weeks. Mostly, I'm afraid that an old baddie might pop up out of nowhere or something random and devastating. Probably will not happen, but I guess I'm just a little paranoid. *sigh*
