Credit Cards bills and DTI Ratio

I am wondering how credit card bills get factored into my DTI ratio

I have 8 credit cards, but don't keep balances on any of them.

even though I dont keep balances on them, will it be a minium of 25 dollars a card or something that goes against my DTI

Re: Credit Cards bills and DTI Ratio

The minimum required payment listed on the credit report will be factored into the DTI.  So if you have no balance, then there won't be any minimum payment reported, and it won't be factored into the DTI.

Re: Credit Cards bills and DTI Ratio

so I should probably limit the amount of cards i use once I start applying for mortgages

or at least make sure to pay the balances off in full before the statements cut

thanks for the help

Re: Credit Cards bills and DTI Ratio

Yes, both of those actions would be appropriate.
