Re: DISPUTES on CREDIT REPORT

fico 676 drop to 587 within hours of removing disputes, 6 disputes and four of them had already timed out but they keep them on your report, in my case over 180 days!

I had them removed (no easy task I might add) and zap!, a lightening like response, I would guess it takes a good year to clear any disputes, that 30-45 day bunk is just that BUNK!

It really depends if the dispute comments are on a tradeline or a collections account.  From what i understand, FICO scores collections come hell or high water.  If you have a dispute comment on a tradeline, the tradeline is neutral until the dispute is resolved.

Re: DISPUTES on CREDIT REPORT

Not easy to do, but yes can be done, be prepared for a major hit on your Score, mine dropped  from 676 to 587, four were 0 balance and had timed out with no response, one was to expire  next month the other later in the summer, none had been responded to in 180 days

I think that it depends on how old the account is.  I had two disputes removed from paid collections that were about 7 years old.  My score didn't drop at all.  The LO thought that bc they were so old my score really wasn't being affected by the accounts.

Starting Score: EX 575/TU 534/EQ 570
Current Scores per Myfico: (As of 12-14-13) EX 690/EQ 685/TU 679
Goal Score: 720

Baseballguy:
So my dispute comments are on collection accounts. Both are paid with $0 balance. Should I expect to see a drop? Sorry for all the questions but this is a little confusing. If the account is no longer in dispute why would this affect your score? Thanks for the help.
