I have a question about how DTI is calculated for joint mortgage applications for non-married applicants.
How is this calculated? Do they add up all debt obligations for both applicants and divide by the total income for both people?
Or, do they calculate it for each applicant (ie, total existing debt plus half of mortgage payment divided by individual income)?

total debt payments added together and total income added together.
