Just talked to an associate the loan rep was not available. Was told 5.78 FHA no points!Message Edited by afni on 03-19-2009 11:41 AM
Wow, that seems high. Just to clarify, the 5.0% that I was quoted is also with no points.
That is awesome! Congrats. I was quoted 5% at 1 point last week Thursday, so I decided to wait now today this rep says 5% at 2 points.
I left a message for my loan rep to call me.
Well my rep said 5% 1.2 points.Based on my profile and they can't pull another report unless there was an issue with my loan. So the only thing I can do is keep calling back until I get a rate quote I like. I have up to 5 days before closing. Closing 4/20.
Sucks!
My realtor emailed me this morning showing one of her mortgage brokers offering a FHA loan at 4.5%. I have my doubts about it being this low but also read that the Feds bought up several mortgage securities and several billions in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debt yesterday so it's possible.
I have yet to verify but will be talking to her this afternoon. Fingers are crossed!
my rate watch with countrywide says 5% o pts 4.5% with 1.875 pts. not sure how accurate that was.
my GFE, that was done on Monday, said 5.125% with .625 pts.
Locked today at 4.375% with 2.5 points. FHA
My loan officer told me this is the lowest rate he's ever done in the 25 years of being in the mortgage industry!
Rates with 0 points are higher. Why would anyone want to pay a higher rate?
Most people SHOULD pay points... all you can afford!!
