So long story short fiancee and I are approved with FGMC with his mid being 618. Just got an alert that his score went up on equifax to 616 from 600 so I can only assume and hope that his mid score from experian went up above the 620 required for the builder's preferred lender. We have a conditional approval from FGMC and are still waiting conditions to clear. By switching we will not be paying closing but if we stay with FGMC we will have to pay closing costs. I feel torn about dropping them if we get approved with the preferred lender... blehh, but I would be saving over $3000. What do you guys think?
