Do I need an attorney?

I'm building new construction, FHA, builder is picking up the closing costs.  I'm a pretty contract-savvy person (know all about reading the fine print and details), which I have done on everything so far, so do I need an attorney for the closing or can I do it myself?  It seems pretty cut and dried?

I know when I was under contract I needed an attorney immediately. My attorney was the one who did the municipal searches and helped coordinate the meeting for closing. It may vary by state though. I am in NY.

For your own protection i would find a closing attorney. I am from Alabama and the cost to me was only $400.00 and well worth my peace of mine.
