Do UW always have you sign a 4506-T for your tax returns?

I provided copies of my tax returns to my LO, will I have to sign a 4506-T for them to verify?

Almost always, yes. Requesting the information from the IRS provides an independant, third party representation of what was actually filed. I could technically use any tax software to create a 1040 that showed millions in income, but never file that with the IRS.

Re: Do UW always have you sign a 4506-T for your tax returns?

Yep, I did this.  I don't know if you ever read my post, but come to find out I never submitted my 2010 taxes!!  I had paid them but didn't hit the "submit" button.   Didn't find this out til LO ordered tax transcripts and they weren't there!!

Luckily the IRS processed my return within 8 days and my LO was able to get the tax transcripts she needed.  Good thing it was July.  If it had been during tax season it could have totally ruined the loan.
