Does buying a house is bad now?

I am in dilemma, if I should buy a house or not. Is it bad if I buy house and add mortgage to my credit, would it scare the credit card companies and will they start taking AA?. It is a good time to buy since the prices are low. I am not sure what kind of negative effect it will have.

I've read that other thread in the credit section about that credit card company not liking people with Countrywide mortgages but that is just simply ridiculous in my opinion.  To profile someone because they have a certain creditor is wrong.  I can say, for diversity & score purposes, adding a mortgage with on time payments to your credit report is good.

what the credit card companies will do shouldnt be a factor in buying a home.....

 but, believe me..... you will get lots of credit card offers after you buy.
