FHA downpayment question

Can you use funds from your own annuity for an FHA downpayment?  DH's annuity allows a withdraw of funds for the purchase of a primary residence but I'm not sure how FHA looks at that.  We'll have our own savings, but we'll likely be just shy of the 3.5% and the closing costs.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: FHA downpayment question

For sure you can use them.  You'd just need to provide the terms & conditions under which the funds could be withdrawn (so the lender knows that the annuity allows for it), when you get the funds out a copy of the disbursement check from the annuity, and then a copy of the bank statement showing the annuity funds being deposited into it.
