FICO Mortgage score

So I was late 30-60days, no 90s on my mortgage back in 2012-2013, last late 30 days 2/2013 have been current since.  My FICO mortgage score is in the 640s yet my standard FICO is 704, how long does it take for the mortgage score to come in line with the regular mortgage score?

Re: FICO Mortgage score

Mortgage scores use a different algorithm so expecting it to come back in line with FICO 8 may not be realistic if you have mortgage lates, which have a heavier impact with mortgage scores than on the general FICO 8 scores. It's hard to say how long it will take other than the generic 7 years for it to fall off. Not sure if mortgage scores weigh lates the same way FICO 8 does where 30 day lates only hurt for the 1st year.

SouthEast80 is correct. Also, because the mortgage score depends on different sections of your credit report hevaily,  it may take 5 years to get it as high, or it may never be as high as your fico8 score. As the time goes, and the lates have less effect on your fico score, and it goes higher, so will your fico 8 score. So as far as your mortgage score better, it definitely will, but as far as it catching up to your fico 8 score, unfortunately there is no telling how soon it could happen, if it ever happens at all.
