Received our clear to close today (Friday Feb 16) and we close on (Thurs Feb 22). It's been a long process on this new build. Happy to finally be able to move in sooon!

I took so long to post because this day just does not seem real! I really can't believe I am here. I have read these posts for so long hoping that one day I will be fortunate to grace my presence. I had a DIL on a condo back in 2013, so my family and I have been renting, or I like to call it camping, for the past 7.5 years. Here goes:

Inspection: 1/30 - no major problems, seller agreed to fix some very minor things I asked for.
Appraisal: 2/1 (5K above selling price as is)

Conditional Approval: 2/6 - just needed my bank statements and an interim bank statement showing earnest $ cleared from me, I guess they needed some other minor things too that I am not responsible for.
Cleared to close: 2/16/18
Final Walk through: N/A
Closing Date: 2/22
Closed On: 2/22

Update: We closed on 2/28/18 but it took hours - about 4 hrs. Essentially everyone with the same builder was closing that same day and the office did not have enough closers. There was a clerical error that resulted in more paperwork to sign Our apartment is close to the kids school, so we will move in little by little over the next few weeks.
