I would suggest applying for a capital one platinum, and a kays card. They are easy to get and will help get your scores up. Thats one part of the equation. I think you will have difficulty getting approved with an unpaid charge off that high. I think you need to get that squared away one way or the other.

You need to open at min 2 more credit cards, that alone with low util with get you into the upper 600s by July.

Walmart is another easy one. Our TU Fico on here was 590- I took a chance and apped at Walmart.com. The same week I got a lender TU Fico of 619. So for us, TU 04 was more favorable than TU 98. Furthermore, after opening the walmart card and being approved for a 600CL, the TU Fico reported by walmart (you get this for free with their card on your Estatement) is now 634. So we got a nice bump from opening that card. EQ also jumped up 7 points from getting the Walmart card. Also, have you checked with other lenders? Some only require 580 if you are going FHA (3.5% down payment).

Does anyone know what FHA scoring method is used? Would that be more favorable? I still have a little time .
I got denied from Walmart but I had 3 more collections on my credit report than I do now. The inquiries are killing me I have 9. Two months ago I applied for everything I thought I could get qualified for.
I DID get a phone from Verizon with no money down though, that was the first in a long time.
Does walmart use Transunions score or a fico?

They use the TU Fico score.

Is that the same scoring model than here?
