File sent to USDA for final approval

I am looking for anyone that has recently closed, or knows someone who recently closed to provide insight here.

After a USDA Guaranteed loan is approved by the lender, has had the appraisal(came back good), and all conditions met, and the file sent to the local USDA office for final approval.  How long did it take to hear back?

Not knowing whats going on is the worst thing ever...

Re: File sent to USDA for final approval

I would say it depends on the underwriter.

I am doing a Direct Loan. I had additional hoops to jump through that were not pleasant. I was told I needed to jump through more, but had my underwriter looked at my submitted documents 2 weeks earlier to notice that I was good to go, I could have been closed and in the house already.

My closing is scheduled for this coming Monday.
