Final underwriting and just twiddling thumbs.

Our loan went to final underwriting yesterday and our LO said we should have news back by the end of the day today. I'm still waiting and going crazy. Tell me your encouraging underwriting stories so I can stay positive!

Background:

Loan: Conventional 30 yr fixed 20% down.

Appraisal came in $1000 over listing price

Husband is 1099, we've provided three years of tax files.

Mid credit score: 688

There were some collections that were paid off before going to underwriting (letters were included).

Mine went to final underwriting for the clear to close yesterday as well! lol We got credit approval already now it's just waiting to see if all the supplemental stuff we sent in are good enough.

I have no thumbs left to twiddle as I have eaten them all off lol.  In underwriting again and it is horrible the waiting and waiting.  I can't stand the stress and I keep obsessing about what could go wrong.  It is hard to enjoy watching the house go up because I keep worrying so much.  I can hardly wait to close so I can finally sleep again.  I won't even mind the pain of moving because it is better than just waiting and worrying.  Two more weeks of this is enough to drive me insane.  Too bad I am not a drinker.  I have been through so much on this journey that when I finally get the keys I will be bawling like a baby.
