I'd like to know if I would be eligible for this Tax Credit. I closed on a property on 4/15/11.
Can someone give me a website to read more on this?
Thanks in advance.
You have to have been under contract like a year ago and closed by sometime last year, too - I believe the absolute last date to close for it was in September.

No, you do not qualify for the tax credit. I closed on my house in November of last year and I missed the cut off. You would have had to have a binding sales contract by 4/30/10 and closed on that contract by 9/30/10 in order to qualify. If you are a soldier who was deployed to a foreign location for an extended period of time, the credit can be extended up to one year after the expiration. Unless this applies to you, you're out of luck
Do you ever think theyll implement another tax credit?
I would think no, not anytime soon...
