First mortgage payment

Hello everyone,

as you know we closed on our first mortgage on Augist 19th, 2015,  our first payment is supposed to be due on October 1st, 2015 but we have not received anything from the institution that is now responsible for it.  We bought through a mortgage banker, a company that does their own loans but they sell them afterwards.  Should I contact our lender to see?  just wondering cause the day is approaching

Re: First mortgage payment

It is normal to not receive the first mortgage statement until a week or two before the first payment date. You can always contact them and ask though - no harm there.

Agree with dpeezy. Also remember you have a first payment "coupon" in your closing package if the new servicer hasn't contacted you.

Re: First mortgage payment

look thru closing documents. they should have given you some temporary payment coupons to use until the loan is sold.
