My husband and I met with our MC last week and will be buying in NYC. I will be primary on the loan and he is a co borrower. We were informed that we do not need to file taxes jointly even though we are going for the loan together. Are you able to confirm if this is true as we do not want to file separately only to encounter issues with qualifying with th Underwriter and bank. Have you encountered this scenario before?
