The closing date for my new home is a week into the new year. The date to wire the final funds excluding the deposit is set for a business day following New Year. I am ready to wire the funds from my bank to escrow now. Does it at all matter, taxwise or otherwise, whether my end-of-the-year bank statement balance includes those funds?
