Getting a mortgage while in Grad school.....

I have a full time job but I am attending online school. I will be taking out school loans each semester to pay for school. If I apply for a mortgage will they make a big deal out of this? After each semester ends they report the new loan balance on my credit.

No, this actally happened to me. I closed on my first home while attending grad school and it worked in my favor. Some lenders will not count your student loans into your DTI ratio if they are deferred for 12 months from your closing date.

That guideline applies to VA & FHA financing.  Conventional & USDA financing include them no matter how long they are deferred until.
