This may be a silly question. Has anyone sent a thank you gift to your LO? If so, what did you send? My LO and her assistant truly made our loan process much easier than we ever dreamed it would be. She worked hard not only to get it done but with our credit history, she got us a great rate too. I was thinking of sending some kind of gift basket to them to show our appreciation. Any thoughts or ideas?

They're just doing what they get paid to do. You got the loan and the house. They have their paychecks which is good enough. Send a thank you email.
I had such a great experience with my LO that I thought about doing the same. Instead I just wrote her and her document specialist a heartfelt thank you email. Neither one even acknowledged it so in the end I was glad I didn't waste my time with a gift.
I feel like if their coworkers see them geting gifts it may seem like they gave someone's file better treatment. Everything is over analyed these days. Send an email and be done. If you thanked them countless times during the process theres no need to even send an email after closing. They get enough emails.
Actually an old fashioned hand written Thank You note is appreciated in this type of circumstance. LO's do read and keep them - at least the one's I work with appreciate heartfelt Thank You's.
It is the right thing to do....
Thanks for everyone's input! We closed this morning and to our surprise, our agent gave us a gift card to Lowe's as a thank you/house warming gift!
I will definitely send a thank you card to the LO and her assistant.

liquor.... after putting up with you for 30 days.... it is only fair.......

ANY gift is appreciated.... but not necessary
it doesnt have to have a monetary value.... just some sentiment.

I agree completely ... a bottle of Maker's Mark is what I would recommend.
When I owned my mortgage brokerage, I always mailed, to the borrowers, a thank you note accompanying a $100 gift certificate to a nice restaurant in my marketing area. I don't ever remember receiving any gift from any of my borrowers. Nice of you to consider doing it so do it.
We went through a lot of problems during our closing process. Our loan officer bent over backwards for us many times, so we wanted to show our appreciation. We gave him a Thank you card with a nice note written inside, as well as a resturaunt gift card (I think for $50?)
