They don't necessarily go hand-in-hand. Credit Karma pulls your balances not from TU but from the access you give them to your accounts. They'll be up-to-date on CK as a result LONG before the creditors actually reports the balances to the CRAs.
That's not true. I don't have ANY accounts linked on CK and my accounts all report actual changes within a week of the change. They pull from the CRA.
