Home Inspection info for bankowned

Our home gets inspected today.  Its bank owned.  If there are damages do we try to get the realtor or bank to pay for it or do we have to take it "as is" because its bank owned?  My realtor said the roof is in good condition that needs a minor fix.  She said the roof has 15 good years left on it.  How should I respond to that?

Note: I am a first time home buyer.

Thank you

Re: Home Inspection info for bankowned

you dont have to take things as being " as- is". Thats how the house I am purchasing was labelled. I asked for repairs, and got them done.If repairs are needed you will more than likely discuss them with your realtor and he/ she will guide you in the right direction as to what to ask for.
