Home buying process

I put an offer in on a foreclosure today.  They are asking $179,900, I offered $145,000 and asked for 5% closing cost.  Hoping they accept my offer, and the broker seems to think they will. They have until Wed 3/10 to accept offer or not.  I have already been preapproved.

The broker has had no response from the bank regarding the offer. I saw another house that I liked listed for $169,000, even better than the first one.  I think I am not going to rush into making any more offers.

:-) It is a process! You'll probably learn a lot over the next few houses. That was my experience anyway.
