I found a house that the listing says it is "approved for Homepath Mortgage Financing"....is anyone familiar with this program? As I am web searching on this it appears the housemust be owned by Fannie Mae....but what is this financing program and how does it differ from FHA? What are the qualifications?
When I called a lender who specialized in that program, he stated that you need a 660 credit score for the 3.5% down payment, and 20% DP for a 620 credit score.
