I am an eternal pessimist, and need to anticipate the worst, so assuming our loan application with Wells Fargo gets denied, how long do I have to wait to apply by myself? My girlfriend and I have applied together. She makes about 10,000 more per yr than I do, but my credit scores are better. I'm afraid we will get denied because of her scores. I'm just concerned about my DTI and how much I could get approved for. We have a car in both of our names. Our monthly payment is $548. Will the total amount of the payment be included in figuring out my DTI or just half of it? We also have a personal loan together from our credit union, so I'm assuming whatever the rule is, it will be the same for both.
