How long after closing for new Apps?

Just for my planning purposes, if I was thinking about one or two CLI requests or new consumer accounts (appliances, furniture, etc), what is a "best practice" waiting period after closing?

Should I at very least wait for the mortgage to report? My only concern would be spooking the lender really, but my DTI has plenty of room.

I thought that once it's closed; it's closed. It's not like they are going to come take back your house

Waiting for the mortgage to report is a whole different thing. That's up to you. Although, I have heard of scores going up once the mortgage reports.

Seems to me, if you can qualify for a mortgage, you should be able to qualify at a furniture store.
