maybe it didnt pass automated underwriting and the LO wants the UW to do a manual underwrite before issuing the letter. some LOs arent comfortable issuing a prequal on a manual underwrite so they send it to uw to do
Mine took about 3 weeks! We live in an area that has a lot of cash buyers, so our lender does pre-underwriting to compete with cash buyers. Perhaps that is why your approval is taking longer?
