You can get quotes from as many as you like. I suggest letting them know what you are doing. If you take it farther than that they may fire you. I would. Dont take that the wrong way but think about it from the other side. A broker is going to be putting their time and money into your loan and do not get sompensated until you close to me someone that is submitting full applications with multiple people for more than an estimate is a waste of my resources.
You will not be able to get too far with multiple brokers unless you want to buy multiple appraisals. An appraisal must be purchased in the name of the broker so it can not be used with multiple agents. Also if doing an FHA loan then the property will be assigned a case number by one of the brokers and the rest will be shut out as only one number may be assigned per property.
The advise above is solid. Do your homework get a few estimates, talk with a few and find one you feel you can trust. Then make a choice and dont look back unless there are major issues. I say major because there are always issues but they arent all major.
Good luck
Brian
