My wife and I are starting the home hunting process. It will be March before we actually apply. Her credit is in the dumps due to medical collections so the mortgage will be in my name only so I'm wondering the size I can look for. I'm not going to push the limits to the extreme, just something I can qualify for without any more drama than needed.
$34k yearly income and $1.39/$100 tax rate. Auto loan of $290 and an installment loan of $100 $0 credit card debt tI have no clue about insurance sp just use whatever would be average. It will be FHA so 3.5% down and there PMI or whatever they are calling it will need to be included. I've played with online calculators but have gotten widely varied results from $50k to 200k(not looking for even half that)
