I want to say thank you for all the good advice this board has provided. I just closed on my first home today with a 5.875 fixed interest rate. I only had to pay 78.87 at closing due to assistance received from my local governments down payment assistance program and seller (builder) paying 2500 towards the closing. I had became a little discouraged because of an issue with who we were going to close with but it was fixed at the last minute.
And oh did I mention this was the second time I had attempted to purchase. So for those still in the progress,dont be discouraged. When it is your time it will happen.
