The house I had with my ex is supposed to have been foreclosed on. It was stupid mistake I made when I was 18 yrs old there was nothing I could do about it. By the time I saw the damage (how late everything was) it was too far gone. Anyway I am trying to start over. The last payment was made in 2007. It STILL says foreclosure process started. From what I understand FHA loans etc, the 3 years after a foreclosure starts from the time they actually auction the house or foreclose on the house?? How the heck am I ever supposed to move on and rebuild my credit if they wont finalize things??? I am so upset. Its been almost THREE years. Had they foreclosed when they were supposed to I could have started rebuilding a long time ago. I am so confused, embarassed, frustrated, everything. I am so upset. I made a huge mistake and I just want to move on and do better and show people I am smarter now and I can handle money and loans etc. This is holding me bacl though. Is there anything I can do?? This is what its showing:

It appears that it will be 3 years from April of 2008 which shows your last late payment although I am no expert. And it's weird that it says Mortgage Foreclosure process started? I have never seen that before.

The 3 year period does not go by last late payment, but by the date in which you were removed from title (I believe). Check your county records to find out when it was offically changed out of your hands. The other issue will be if there is still a defualt balance or tax balance owed because of it since that was before the moratorium on that I believe and alot of states allow for the company to go after you for the default amount. That may or may not be why a balance is still showing late?

Yes, check your county records. Find out if the house is in your name if not when did it go back to the bank. The date that it goes to the bank in the county records is when the time clock starts.
