Hi, does anyone know if mortgage companies are requesting return transcripts or if they are requesting account transcripts?  Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe return transcripts. My file is in underwriting and they requested our tax return transcripts. Will you be applying soon?

Yes, I will be applying soon.  Our contract was accepted by the sellers, but we're waiting on short sale approval from the bank.  My return was amended which will appear on an IRS account transcript but I believe the IRS return transcript does not show any amendment or activity following the initial return.  Either scenario is fine as the amendment did not adjust income, only moving expenses, but I want to pro-actively make them aware of it if they won't see it on the return transcript.  Thanks for your help!
