Inquiries and getting a mortgage

Will having alot of credit inquiries on credit report get you denied on a mortgage even if your credit is in good shape and your DTI and UTIL is low? Also is $36,000 a year enough income to get approved for $110,000 mortgage.

Re: Inquiries and getting a mortgage

I read somewhere else on this forum to take your yearly income times 2.5 and times 3 and that is your low-high range.

Re: Inquiries and getting a mortgage

I found a calculator and based on my dti I could qualify for up to $138,000.

Re: Inquiries and getting a mortgage

Having a lot of inquiries isn't usually a reason for denial, however if your file was borderline and you had repeated inquiries then it wouldn't help sway an underwriter's opinion to a favorable one.  So is it going to get you denied?  Probably not, but it's not good to have excessive inquiries.
