Is there life after a forclosure?

Hi All,

In 1999 I lost my home. At the time I also had a second mortgage. They garnished my wages and I did pay the 2nd.

I now have a decent FICO score and all but one baddie are gone.

Can I get a FHA or qualify as a first time buyer ever again?

Thanks.

Sure.

If the credit has been good since then, it will help.

I've had a good payment history since 2005.

My scores as of 1/8/09:

TU: 762

EQ: 714

EX: 808

But, I paid my auto loan last week and owe nothing on cc's so I hope I won't lower my scores.

Thanks DLG!

While we cannot approve you in a discussion board.... I see nothing preventing you from having a pretty easy time in underwriting.

Ten years ago my credit report was a mess! I also had several CO's.

It's taken time and a uphill road back. Bit by bit I got small limit cc's & a (very high intrest) auto loan. Now as each co and baddies drop, my scores just grow. I also keep my cc at 2%.
