Yes, my LO is requesting 2011 and 2012 along with W-2's. Not to mention a host of other stuff. I go turn in all document to her tomorrow.
Yes, my lender required it.
However, I started building in late November and then when the LO gave me my approval to begin building, she let me know that as soon as I get all my tax doc's on Jan 31st. I need to file ASAP to update my file for closing. (Im closing April 5th)
How about if the lender asks for your 2012 Tax Return but you had to recently file an amendment to that return?
What can happen in this instance?
The reason I ask is I had to file an amendment to a mistake I made on my 2012 return where I showed almost no income on a rental property I own. I filed the amendment last week.
My 2012 return showed me being negative on my rental property for about $10,000 for 2012.
So I filed the amendment, paid the tax I owed but it still hasn't been cleared by the IRS.
With that negative 10 grand I had for 2012, it pushed my DTI to high so I'm having troubles refinancing.
My lender requested the transcript but for whatever reason, it came to my address. My brother said to fax it to him so that he can forward it to the UW but I don't think I should open it. I'm debating if I should pay the extra $12 to overnight mail it to my brother or my lender UW.
I used Wells Fargo last year and applied in Feb. They only required 2009 and 2010 with just a W2 from 2011.
