Well looks like I will be able to contribute to this post for February/March.  I am extremely excited because everything is happening so fast.  We are going with the USDA Guranteed loan which is exciting in itself : )  My realtor is taking me to view 4 houses tomorrow and I am in love with all 4.  How does one choose????

I do have to work on getting dispute comments off two more of my bureaus and also there is an invalid bankruptcy comment that shows up on one of our accounts reporting to Trans Union CBR.  I have disputed the problems with the bureaus along with calling the creditor and advised not disputing account and to update that with CBR.  Also an old charge off is all the sudden showing as a new debt in the status field with one of the credit bureaus and I have to call with my husband to request for that to be taken care of tomorrow.  My broker said we could possibly get around the status change issue since we can prove it is not a new debt but that the dispute and bankruptcy comments must be gone.  We will be using rapid rescore if neccessary also.  My broker charges around 30.00 for each rapid rescore (I think that is per bureau also).  In my opinion that is well worth 30.00.

New Kid. I learned how to fix my credit in the credit card thread years ago so here I am in the natural progression; buying a house.

I'm waithing to hear back from the bank in a short sale. I have no idea how long but I'm thinking February is possible. Its been a month since the offer accepted from seller.

Title work came back yesterday so all that's left if FHA approval.  I hope to get a closing day today.  Hopefully I'll close with the next week or two.

Just found out that my application has been conditionally approved. Waiting to hear back from my LO to hear what I need to do to achieve a full approval. This board and everyone have been amazing. I have learned so much! I am hoping to close on Feb 23. Will see though. Keeping my fingers crossed for everyone on here!

Well, we finally closed and have keys to our first home

Just wanted to say thank you to the myfico community for providing such a friendly and welcoming learning experience! DW and I feel truly Blessed to have been able to learn and grow from the community on this site.

We have prayed for the means/ability to be able to own a home for quite some time and the Lord has been there with us every step of the way. We are praying for all those whom are in the process(about to begin,etc.) Just remember that: "Prayer comes in our time; the answers come in His time."
