I'm back bc I cleared UW today receiving final approving making me clear to close.
Closing date set for this Friday on my refi.
$155,000 @ 2.875% for 15 year fixed.
First call to broker was 1/25. Three weeks start to finish.
I'm happy. I'll get my mortgage paid off about a year earlier and save about $18,000 interest.
Its taken so long because we had to wait till my wife started her job so they could do a VOE. Was suppose to hear something yesterday, called my LO twice today inquiring about my loan status. He said the loan processor was out of the office but he would ask her manager. "twirls thumbs nervously".

The closing completed as scheduled.
I figured everything was good earlier in the week when I got a survey from BofA, my old mortgage, about their mortgage service.
I gave them good marks for everything except their rates on loans. I wouldn't have come close to the deal I got if I went through them.
We Closed on Valentines Day! No money due at closing and got $502.00 back. We were due to get $$852 but there was a mix up and they put $350 on the loan principal to avoid delaying the closing. I thank God daily that he has allowed our dream of homeownership to finally come to pass!
