Lenders that will take a miscore of 620?

Just curious what lenders are out there that will take a 620 score for a mortgage loan?  Our lender we are working with requires a 640 and we are almost  there, but I was curious what lenders were out there just in case we dont make it to 640?

You might check out First Guaranty Mortgage Corp. (FGMC), I have heard a lot of good things about them working with people with less that 620. There website even list that they accept those with 580 or so.

I just closed with FGMC a week ago, I highly recommend them...my midscore was 629 and after the clear to close we closed within 2 days!

This is awesome! I have only heard about their lenient ways but am unfortunately not ready to app just yet! Do you mind me asking why type of loan you got through them and how difficult was to get through the entire process?

  Michigan Mutual.  I used them last year when I needed to be in their 620 to 640 program.

(IMO, you should try to get to 640 because it will be a much better rate, probably about 1%).  The 620 loans are a higher risk so they interest is higher.

We're working with Prospect Mortgage, having really good luck so far, still working with the UW.  But they will do sub-640 with a few additional qualifying criteria.
